Advertising, analytics and TitusGPT (updated 19 September 2026)
Analytics. Our website sets one small cookie of its own, an anonymous visitor identifier with no personal data in it, so that our own statistics can count visits and returning visitors accurately. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, searches, device type, approximate location). Our own server also keeps a standard access log for security and for daily visitor statistics; visitor counts in those statistics are derived from a one-way hash that is not stored.
Advertising. We advertise on Facebook and Instagram (Meta) and on Google. To measure those adverts and to show relevant adverts to people who have visited our site, we share the following with Meta and Google: the pages you view, searches you make on the site, products you add to a quotation, and the fact that a quotation was requested. This is sent both from your browser (the Meta Pixel and Google tags, which set cookies such as _fbp) and directly from our server (Meta's Conversions API). Data sent from our server includes your IP address, browser identifier and, when you request a quotation, a hashed (SHA-256) form of the e-mail address and phone number you typed, which Meta uses only to match the event to an account and then discards. We never share your name, address, order contents or prices with advertising platforms.
Customer audiences (updated 19 September 2026). If you have given us your phone number or e-mail address at our shop or on a trade account, we may use it to tell you about Titus Stores and to show our adverts to you on Facebook, Instagram and Google. To do this we send those platforms a one-way hash (SHA-256) of the number or address, never the number or address itself; the platform matches the hash against its own users and discards it. We never share your purchases with them. If you would rather we did not use your details this way, e-mail quotations@titusstores.com or tell us at the counter and we will remove you from those lists.
TitusGPT. Messages you type to our shopping assistant are stored on our server with a session identifier so the conversation and your quotation list can continue, and are processed by an AI provider (Anthropic) to generate replies. Only your message text and the products it refers to are sent to the provider; no name, phone number or e-mail address is sent unless you include it in a message. Conversations are reviewed by us to improve the assistant.
Quotations. The name, phone number, e-mail address and delivery area you give when requesting a quotation are used to prepare and respond to that quotation and are kept in our records.
Your choices. You can block advertising cookies in your browser settings, opt out of personalised adverts in your Facebook and Google account settings, and ask us at quotations@titusstores.com to delete the conversation and quotation data we hold about you.
