A long serrated "saw" knife with a plain wooden handle, made for slicing through bread loaves and sponge cakes without tearing the crumb. The toothed edge also levels and splits cake layers cleanly, so it suits bakeries and pastry sections as well as home bakers. The blade appears to be stainless steel and measures about 14 inches by the catalogue name, though we have not verified the cutting edge length separately.
