Wire Spider Skimmer with Wooden Handle

A coarse-mesh S/S wire skimmer on a long wooden handle, built for lifting fried food clear of hot oil and draining it fast. The open weave lets oil and water run straight off, so it also suits blanching vegetables, noodles and dumplings. Handy for a busy short-eats fryer or a home kitchen doing vadai and cutlets; the size in the name reads 26", but in this catalogue that is usually about 26 cm across the bowl.
