A heavy aluminium steamer built as a deep water pot with a perforated steaming tier on top and a domed lid, with riveted side handles on both tiers. Use it for string hoppers (idiyappam), pittu, idli, buns, vegetables and fish, or to hold cooked rice hot over gentle steam. Suits busy hotel and caterer kitchens as well as homes that steam most mornings.
