A cast aluminium hopper pan (appa thatti) with a long handle, a domed lid and a matching batter ladle, sold as a set. The curved bowl shape swirls the batter up the sides to give you crisp-edged, soft-centred egg hoppers and plain hoppers, and the lid traps the steam that sets the middle. Medium size, so it suits home kitchens as well as hotel and restaurant breakfast lines turning out hoppers to order.
