A cast aluminium thachchi — a deep, round-bottomed frying pan with two riveted ear handles for lifting when full. Built thick for high heat and long service, it suits deep frying, tempering, curries, sweets and bulk frying of cutlets, wade or vadai, and it doubles as a home kadai for big batches. Marked 16.5" and 5D in the catalogue, which we take as the rim measurement across; confirm with us before ordering to a tight space.
