A deep, perforated stainless steel basket with a long wooden-handled shank, used for blanching noodles, kottu noodles, string hoppers, dumplings and vegetables in a stockpot or noodle boiler. The straight-sided body drains fast and the raised handle keeps hands clear of the steam, making it suited to single-portion cooking to order. Small size, so it works well for one to two pax at a time on a busy line or at home.
