Multi-purpose butane blow torch

A hand-held gas torch with a trigger-style igniter, sold on card with a flame output rated by the maker up to about 1300°C. Use it to glaze crème brûlée, char peppers and tomatoes, blister skins, finish gratins, sear meat and fish, or for light workshop jobs like soldering and thawing. Suits pastry sections, à la carte kitchens, bars doing smoked garnishes and home cooks who want a proper finish; runs on refillable butane gas, which is not included.
