A plain, deep round saucepan supplied with a flat sit-in lid, in bright polished metal (most likely aluminium, judging by the finish). It is a straightforward everyday pot for boiling, curries, dhal, milk rice and reheating on gas or a standard hob, with the wide rim making it easy to lift with a cloth.
