A perforated aluminium skimmer on a long handle, with a bowl of about 15 cm diameter and an overall length of about 59 cm. The holes let hot oil drain away so you can lift vadai, fish, cutlets and other fried items clear of a deep pan while keeping your hands well back from the heat.
