A two-part pittu steamer: a handled base pot that holds the water, topped by a domed lid with a tall chimney mould and cap where the pittu mix steams. Made of pressed aluminium, it is the standard way to turn out firm cylinders of pittu at home or in volume for a breakfast and dinner service. Suits home kitchens as well as hotels, cafes and caterers serving Sri Lankan rice-and-curry style meals.
